Reissue of a classic by Janusz Korczak, famous polish pedagogue and pediatrician , also known as just a Doctor. Thoroughly devoted for children, he didn't left the children from the Jewish orphanage in the Warsaw ghetto - he died with them in the extermination camp in Treblinka, in 1942 during the second world war. His sensitive writing portrays with subtle attention grieves and problems of children lonely in the adult's world. My book cover and illustrations inside.
According to the prior editions from the 60s the illustrations are designed as the plates and some modest pics in the text as well as tiny vignettes at the beginning of each chapter.

Świetne ilustracje; gdzieś w sopockim domu mam stare wydanie z ilustracjami Srokowskiego, teraz chętnie kupię z Twoimi.
och będzie to piękne uzupełnienie mojej kolekcji. Zapowiada się bardzo dobrze Pani Marianno. Córka, która podgląda mi przez ramię też podziela moje zdanie.
